Microsoft Excel

Open Excel File

Activity opens an existing Excel file.

v2_ex_open

Fill in the File Name (entire directory and name of your file, with extension). The activity allows you to define its custom internal name for further use (Workbook Name).

Check Excel Invisible (default: off) to open the file as a hidden process (visible via the Task Manager).

NOTE: You can’t have Excel files in two different states during one Wizlink session - all files are visible or all are invisible.

Check Display Alerts (default is off/False) to suppress prompts and alert messages while a macro is running. If the message requires a response, the default one will be chosen (eg. when Display alerts is set to False and macro asks whether to save the file, the default response is Yes; this overwrites the existing file).
